A thoughtfully planned Kedarnath Yatra package from Haridwar for pilgrims looking to visit the sacred Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand. This 4 Days / 3 Nights pilgrimage connects Haridwar with one of Lord Shiva’s most revered Himalayan shrines, with arrangements planned around the practical requirements of a high-altitude yatra. Kedarnath is situated in the Garhwal Himalayas at around 3,580 metres, so preparation, suitable clothing and sensible travel planning are important.
Experience the sacred Do Dham Yatra by helicopter from Dehradun, covering the revered Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple in a compact 3-day, 2-night pilgrimage. This Dehradun-to-Dehradun package is designed for devotees who want to visit both Himalayan shrines while reducing the long road travel involved in a conventional yatra. Kedarnath, dedicated to Lord Shiva, stands high in the Garhwal Himalayas, while Badrinath is one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. With helicopter travel, the journey can be more convenient, subject to weather, operational conditions and applicable pilgrimage regulations.
The Do Dham Yatra from Delhi is an 8-day pilgrimage covering the two revered Himalayan shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath. Starting and ending in Delhi, this thoughtfully planned journey brings together the spiritual atmosphere of Kedarnath, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, along with time around Haridwar and Rishikesh. The route combines road travel through Uttarakhand with the required approach to Kedarnath on foot from the roadhead. With high-altitude travel, changing mountain weather and seasonal temple access to consider, Trip to Yatra helps pilgrims plan the journey around practical travel requirements rather than rushing through the experience.

The 6 Days / 5 Nights Do Dham Yatra from Haridwar is designed for pilgrims who wish to visit the sacred Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple in one focused Uttarakhand pilgrimage. Starting and ending in Haridwar, the journey combines the spiritual atmosphere of the Himalayan temples with the changing landscapes of Garhwal. Kedarnath, one of Lord Shiva’s most revered pilgrimage sites and a Jyotirlinga, requires a mountain approach and a trek from Gaurikund. Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is one of Uttarakhand’s four Char Dham temples. Trip to Yatra helps travellers plan this pilgrimage with practical guidance and clear enquiry support.
Chardham Yatra by Helicopter from Dehradun offers a more time-efficient way to undertake the sacred Uttarakhand Char Dham pilgrimage, covering Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath in a 5-day / 4-night package. Starting and ending in Dehradun, the journey combines helicopter travel with the necessary ground and temple-access arrangements at the Dhams. The helicopter element can significantly reduce long road journeys, but it does not mean every temple is reached directly by helicopter; Yamunotri and Kedarnath involve access arrangements beyond the helipad. Char Dham operates seasonally, and 2027 opening dates, operating conditions and applicable requirements should be confirmed before

Plan your sacred Himalayan journey with our Chardham Yatra package from Haridwar, designed for travellers wishing to visit Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath in one organised pilgrimage. This 10 Days / 9 Nights journey starts and concludes in Haridwar and follows the traditional Char Dham sequence through Uttarakhand. Along with the four principal shrines, the journey brings you through the spiritual landscape of the Garhwal Himalayas, with Rishikesh associated with the overall travel region. As mountain conditions, temple opening dates, registrations and access arrangements can change, final 2027 operational details should be verified before departure.
For pilgrims planning to visit all four sacred Char Dham shrines of Uttarakhand in one journey, our Chardham Yatra package from Haridwar offers a practical 10 Days / 9 Nights travel format. The pilgrimage covers Yamunotri Temple, Gangotri Temple, Kedarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple, with the journey starting and ending in Haridwar.
Haridwar is a convenient starting point for the Uttarakhand Char Dham circuit because it is one of the major gateways to the Garhwal region and is well connected with Delhi and other cities of North India. Starting the pilgrimage here also allows travellers to begin their journey from one of India's best-known spiritual cities before proceeding towards the higher Himalayan shrines.
The traditional Char Dham pilgrimage in Uttarakhand is undertaken in the order of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Uttarakhand Tourism also describes the pilgrimage as traditionally progressing from Yamunotri to Gangotri, then Kedarnath and finally Badrinath.
This package is suitable for families, couples, senior family members who are fit for mountain travel, groups and individual pilgrims looking for an organised road-based Char Dham journey from Haridwar. However, travellers should understand that a Himalayan pilgrimage is different from a regular leisure holiday. Road conditions, altitude, walking requirements, weather and local administration can affect the journey, so flexibility and sensible preparation are important.
The Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand brings together four important Himalayan pilgrimage destinations: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Yamunotri and Gangotri are associated with Goddess Yamuna and Goddess Ganga respectively, Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
All four shrines are located in Uttarakhand's Himalayan region and operate seasonally. Unlike temples that remain accessible throughout the year, the high-altitude Char Dham shrines generally open during spring or early summer and close before or around the onset of winter. Uttarakhand Tourism notes that these shrines remain closed for roughly six months each year, generally opening in April or May and closing in October or November.
For this reason, a Chardham Yatra package 2027 should always be planned around the officially announced temple opening dates, government travel advisories and prevailing mountain conditions. Exact 2027 opening and closing dates should not be assumed in advance and must be checked after the respective temple committees and competent authorities announce them.
Yamunotri is traditionally the first shrine visited during the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and is situated in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The destination lies in a high-altitude Himalayan setting and cannot be reached entirely by vehicle. Pilgrims need to complete the final approach to the shrine on foot or use locally available authorised mobility options, subject to current rules and availability.
The Yamunotri section makes physical preparation important, particularly for senior citizens and travellers who are not accustomed to walking in mountain terrain. Trek distances and access arrangements can be affected by local route changes, weather and administrative decisions, so the applicable distance and operating arrangements should be reconfirmed close to the travel date rather than relying on older information.
Gangotri is the second Dham in the traditional pilgrimage sequence. Located in Uttarkashi district, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and forms one of the principal spiritual destinations of the Char Dham circuit.
For many travellers, the Gangotri portion feels different from the trekking-oriented sections of the pilgrimage because the main temple area is approached by road, subject to seasonal road conditions and local traffic management. Nevertheless, the journey takes place through mountainous terrain, and travel times can vary considerably because of traffic, weather, road maintenance or temporary restrictions.
Kedarnath is located in Rudraprayag district and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the most physically demanding parts of the Char Dham journey because the temple is situated in a high-altitude Himalayan area and the final approach involves a substantial mountain journey beyond the normal road-access point.
Pilgrims should not treat the Kedarnath section as an ordinary sightseeing excursion. Walking at altitude can be demanding, particularly for travellers with limited physical conditioning. Local pony, palanquin and helicopter-related arrangements may be available during the operating season, but availability, booking procedures, prices, weather restrictions and official rules can change.
Any helicopter service for Kedarnath should be booked only through the officially authorised system applicable for the 2027 season. The Uttarakhand Tourist Care portal currently provides an official heli-service section, but the booking procedure and operating policy for 2027 must be verified when the new season's rules are published.
Badrinath, also known for the Badrinarayan Temple, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and traditionally forms the final Dham of the Uttarakhand Char Dham circuit. The sacred town stands on the banks of the Alaknanda River in the Garhwal Himalayas at an elevation of around 3,100 metres.
Badrinath Temple is also seasonal. Uttarakhand Tourism states that the temple remains open for approximately six months of the year and becomes inaccessible during winter because of heavy snowfall.
Completing darshan at Badrinath carries special significance for pilgrims following the traditional west-to-east Char Dham sequence, as Badrinath is regarded as the concluding shrine of the four-dham journey.
A Haridwar to Chardham Yatra package is a practical choice for travellers arriving from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and many other parts of India. Haridwar has established rail and road connectivity and serves as an important entry point for pilgrimage travel towards the Garhwal Himalayas.
Starting and finishing at the same city also makes onward travel planning easier. Travellers can arrange their arrival in Haridwar before the scheduled departure and plan their return train, road journey or onward connection after completing the pilgrimage.
Haridwar itself has deep religious importance, particularly because of the River Ganga and its long association with Hindu pilgrimage traditions. This gives the journey a natural spiritual beginning before travellers proceed towards the Himalayan temples.
This package is structured as a 10 Days / 9 Nights Chardham Yatra. The duration provides a workable framework for covering the four principal shrines while accounting for road journeys and the special access requirements associated with Yamunotri and Kedarnath.
It is important, however, to view the stated duration as the planned package duration rather than a guarantee that every movement will occur at an exact predetermined time. Himalayan journeys are influenced by factors beyond the control of any tour operator, including rain, landslides, road closures, traffic restrictions, local authority instructions and weather conditions.
Trip to Yatra therefore recommends keeping some flexibility in your onward travel arrangements after returning from the pilgrimage, especially if you are booking flights or other time-sensitive connections.
A Chardham Yatra by road from Haridwar involves extensive travel through the Garhwal Himalayan region. Distances on mountain roads should not be judged in the same way as distances on plains or expressways. A relatively modest distance can take several hours because of winding roads, gradients, traffic, weather or controlled vehicle movement.
Travellers should therefore prepare for early starts, changing temperatures and long travel days. Comfortable clothing, suitable footwear, essential personal medicines and a small day bag are more useful than carrying excessive luggage.
Mobile connectivity can also vary across mountain areas. Travellers should keep essential documents and important contact details available offline instead of depending entirely on mobile internet access.
Pilgrims should expect official registration requirements to apply to the Char Dham Yatra. The Uttarakhand Government's Tourist Care system currently provides online registration facilities for Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib pilgrims, including registration for Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
The registration portal requires travellers to create their pilgrimage details, including travel dates and selected Dhams. The official system also provides facilities relating to registration letters and verification.
Important for 2027: registration rules, document requirements, traveller eligibility conditions, vehicle requirements, verification procedures and other government instructions can be revised before or during a new Yatra season. Travellers should therefore verify the latest requirements from the Uttarakhand Government's official Tourist Care portal before departure rather than relying on previous-year rules.
Trip to Yatra can guide travellers about the information normally required for their journey, but any government registration, verification or access requirement remains subject to the rules officially applicable on the travel date.
Char Dham is a seasonal Himalayan pilgrimage. The four high-altitude shrines generally operate between the warmer months and the beginning of winter, with exact opening and closing dates announced for each pilgrimage season.
Weather can differ substantially between Haridwar and the higher pilgrimage destinations. Travellers may experience comparatively warm conditions at lower elevations and much colder temperatures near the shrines. Rain, wind and sudden temperature changes are also possible in the mountains.
Conditions become especially important during periods of heavy rainfall. Landslides, falling debris, road damage and temporary route closures can occur in Himalayan terrain. Local authorities may regulate traffic or temporarily suspend movement when conditions are considered unsafe.
For this reason, travellers should follow official weather and road advisories during the journey. Safety-related instructions from the local administration, police or disaster-management authorities must take priority over the planned travel schedule.
A complete Char Dham journey requires more physical effort than an ordinary holiday. Even when most intercity travel is completed by vehicle, pilgrims still need to manage walking, uneven surfaces, stairs, changing elevations and, at certain shrines, significant trekking or alternative local access arrangements.
Travellers who lead a largely sedentary lifestyle may benefit from beginning regular walking well before departure. Comfortable, broken-in walking shoes are preferable to new footwear being used for the first time during the pilgrimage.
Senior citizens and travellers with existing medical concerns should seek advice from their qualified medical professional before undertaking high-altitude pilgrimage travel. Medicines prescribed for personal use should be carried in adequate quantity, along with the relevant prescription where appropriate.
No tour package can guarantee how an individual will respond to altitude, exertion or rapidly changing weather. Travellers should communicate discomfort early and avoid ignoring symptoms merely to maintain a schedule.
Yamunotri and Kedarnath require additional planning because vehicles do not travel directly to the temple entrance in the same manner as ordinary roadside destinations.
At Yamunotri, pilgrims complete the final mountain approach from the road-access area by walking or by locally available alternatives such as pony or palanquin services, where authorised and operational. Uttarakhand Tourism confirms that pilgrims may walk or use pony/palanquin options for the approach to Yamunotri.
Kedarnath similarly requires separate planning for the final approach. Travellers considering helicopter, pony, palanquin or other locally regulated services should confirm the current booking process, authorised operators, operating conditions and charges applicable during their travel dates.
These services should never be assumed to be automatically included unless they are specifically stated in your confirmed Trip to Yatra booking document. Weather-dependent services, particularly helicopter operations, can be delayed or cancelled for operational or safety reasons.
This Chardham tour package from Haridwar can work well for travellers who want to undertake all four Dhams in one organised journey rather than arranging transport and accommodation independently at multiple mountain destinations.
It is particularly relevant for families travelling together, small private groups, pilgrims coming to Haridwar by train or road, and travellers who prefer having their core trip logistics planned before beginning the pilgrimage.
The package can also be considered by first-time Char Dham visitors who may not be familiar with the practical challenges of Himalayan road travel. Having a planned travel structure can reduce the effort involved in coordinating different parts of the journey independently.
At the same time, travellers should select the vehicle, room arrangement and other travel preferences according to their group size, comfort expectations and mobility needs. These details should be discussed at the enquiry stage so that the quotation reflects the actual travel requirement.
Accommodation standards across the Char Dham region vary considerably. Some destinations have a wider choice of hotels and guest houses, while accommodation in remote or high-demand pilgrimage areas may be simpler.
Travellers should approach the journey as a pilgrimage rather than expecting the same hotel infrastructure available in major leisure destinations. Room size, facilities, electricity, hot-water arrangements, internet connectivity and other amenities can vary according to location and property category.
Before confirming your booking, check the proposed accommodation category and room-sharing arrangement mentioned in your quotation. Specific hotels should be treated as confirmed only when they appear in the final booking confirmation or voucher, and substitutions may sometimes be necessary because of operational circumstances.
Simple vegetarian food is commonly available across the Char Dham pilgrimage region. Travellers with specific dietary requirements should communicate them before booking and again during the journey where necessary.
Those travelling with children or elderly family members may also wish to keep light personal snacks for longer road sections. Drinking adequate safe water is important, but travellers should balance hydration with their individual medical needs and professional medical advice.
The exact meal plan applicable to your booking should always be checked in the final quotation rather than assumed from general package information.
Preparation makes a noticeable difference on a multi-day Himalayan pilgrimage. Keep valid identification documents, required Yatra registration records, booking documents and any applicable travel authorisations easily accessible.
Warm layers, rain protection, comfortable walking shoes, personal toiletries, prescribed medicines, basic sun protection and a compact day bag are useful for changing mountain conditions. Avoid carrying unnecessarily heavy luggage, especially when your journey includes sections where luggage handling can become inconvenient.
Requirements applicable to the 2027 Char Dham Yatra should be checked again shortly before departure. Government registration procedures, temple access arrangements, traffic regulations and local operating rules may change from one season to another.
Char Dham takes travellers through environmentally sensitive Himalayan areas. Visitors should avoid littering, minimise disposable plastic wherever practical and respect local instructions relating to waste disposal and protected areas.
At temples and other religious places, travellers should follow local customs, queue systems, photography restrictions and instructions issued by temple or security authorities. Rules can differ between locations and may change according to crowd-management requirements.
During periods of poor weather or road disruption, travellers should cooperate with drivers and local authorities. Attempting to force travel when movement has been officially restricted can create unnecessary risk.
This page is intended for travellers planning a Chardham Yatra package from Haridwar in 2027. However, exact 2027 temple opening dates, closing dates, registration procedures, government travel requirements, access regulations and locally controlled service arrangements must be verified after the competent authorities publish the relevant information.
Travellers should be cautious of any source claiming guaranteed temple dates, unrestricted access or fixed government procedures before official announcements are available.
Trip to Yatra will plan bookings according to the information available at the time of confirmation, while operational arrangements remain subject to weather, road conditions, government directions, temple administration rules and other circumstances affecting Himalayan travel.
A Char Dham pilgrimage combines faith with demanding Himalayan travel, so choosing a package should involve more than simply comparing a headline price. The right arrangement depends on your travel dates, number of passengers, preferred vehicle, room requirements, age profile of the group and the level of comfort you expect during the journey.
With a 10 Days / 9 Nights Chardham Yatra package from Haridwar, you can plan one complete journey covering Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath while keeping Haridwar as both the starting and concluding point of your trip.
Before confirming, Trip to Yatra can provide the applicable quotation and booking details based on your group requirements and intended travel dates. Any inclusions, exclusions, accommodation details, transport arrangements and optional services should be checked in your personalised quotation before payment.

A quick overview of the experiences, important stops and thoughtful planning included in this yatra.
Complete 10 Days / 9 Nights Chardham Yatra from Haridwar to Haridwar.
Darshan of all four Uttarakhand Char Dhams: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
Yatra planned in the traditional sequence of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
Two-night Yamunotri sector planning with Barkot as the practical pilgrimage base.
Full-day Gangotri Temple excursion from the Uttarkashi sector.
Dedicated Kedarnath ascent and descent days instead of compressing the pilgrimage into an unrealistic road schedule.
Overnight halt at Kedarnath planned for a practical road-and-trek journey.
Badrinath Temple visit and overnight stay in the Badrinath sector.
Return journey broken with an overnight stay around Rudraprayag instead of attempting an excessive one-day Badrinath-to-Haridwar drive.
Rishikesh covered en route on the return to Haridwar, subject to road conditions and available time.
Follow the journey step by step through the important halts, stays and darshan points.
Meet at the designated Haridwar reporting/pick-up point and proceed towards Barkot, the operational base for Yamunotri. Travel through Uttarakhand hill roads with suitable comfort/rest breaks. Check in and prepare for an early departure towards Yamunotri the following morning.
Early transfer towards Janaki Chatti. From Janaki Chatti, undertake the mountain approach to Yamunotri Temple. Complete darshan subject to temple access, queues, weather and local authority controls. Return to Janaki Chatti and drive back to Barkot for overnight stay. Pony/palanquin or other authorised local mobility assistance, if operational, should be treated as an additional/optional arrangement unless expressly included.
After departure from Barkot, proceed to Uttarkashi. This is primarily a transfer and recovery day after Yamunotri. Depending on actual arrival time, road conditions and the contracted programme, local temple visit may be possible but should not be guaranteed in advance. Prepare for the Gangotri excursion the next morning.
Early departure towards Gangotri through the Bhagirathi valley. Visit Gangotri Temple and complete darshan subject to the temple being open and to queue/traffic controls. Return to Uttarkashi after darshan. Do not promise an exact temple-entry or return time because congestion and mountain-road controls vary.
Leave Uttarkashi early and proceed towards the Kedarnath sector. This is one of the longer road-transfer days of the package. Check in around Guptkashi or another confirmed Kedarnath-sector overnight location and prepare a small day/overnight bag for Kedarnath.
Depart early towards Sonprayag. Continue according to the local transport/control system applicable for the season towards Gaurikund. From Gaurikund undertake the established Kedarnath trekking route. Reach Kedarnath and, subject to arrival time, weather, queues and temple arrangements, undertake darshan either on arrival or during the available temple-access period. No exact darshan time should be promised.
If darshan was not completed the previous day, visit Kedarnath Temple subject to current access arrangements. Descend from Kedarnath to Gaurikund, continue through the local transfer system to Sonprayag and reconnect with the package vehicle for transfer to Guptkashi or the confirmed nearby overnight base.
Depart early for Badrinath. Follow the operationally permitted mountain-road route towards the Badrinath sector. On arrival, check in and undertake Badrinath Temple darshan subject to opening status, crowd management and local instructions. If arrival is delayed, darshan arrangements may need to shift within the available operational window.
Keep time available for Badrinath Temple darshan if it could not be completed on Day 8, then begin the descent towards Rudraprayag. Optional nearby sightseeing should only be operated if road conditions and departure timing safely allow; it should not compromise the long onward transfer.
Depart towards Rishikesh. Because Rishikesh is selected in the CRM package destinations, provide a short en-route halt/local visit only if actual road conditions and arrival time permit. Continue to Haridwar and drop at the designated package endpoint. The tour concludes in Haridwar.
Review what is included in your plan and the important information required before confirming your journey.
